We are the dreamers
You and I
We are the dreamers
Inside these shells we call humans
We are here, just being
Sparkling and believing
Whispering and imagining
What is beyond physically seeing
While our human nature
Parades all these things
- Always they are seeking
To capture, even a snapshot
Of the rapture
Of what it is, we are dreaming
In their physical forms
To have and to hold
Some of our human counterparts
Will grow old
Manifesting what we've whispered to them
Their whole lives
But at least they have tried
To create, to challenge
To bring into form, the inner beauty
Of this dreamworld from which they were born
Before they die
Before returning home to you and I
For we are the dreamers
And only through you
Do we wake up...
